Update: Police Find Pendleton's Truck

POPE COUNTY  - New information on the search for a man wanted in connection with the shooting of a police officer in Mahomet.

Police have found the truck that Dracy Pendleton was suspected of driving. Since finding the truck, police have closed off roads near the Lusk creek area. Police say despite finding the truck, there has been no recent sighting of Pendleton.

The FBI is now offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest; Crime Stoppers is offering is offering a $1,000 reward.

Illinois State Police say Dracy "Clint" Pendleton has changed his appearance. Police say Pendleton has shaved his beard and trimmed his hair. The police officer was shot Saturday night. He was struck in the arm.

Police are searching for Pendleton in the Shawnee National Forest. Police say Pendleton is familiar with the area and should be considered armed and very dangerous.

His truck was found abandoned near the Riverbend Forest Preserve. Police believe Pendleton then stole a white two-door GMC 2500 with Illinois registration number 165533B.

Authorities say this stolen truck was found in Pope County, near the area where officers have been searching in Shawnee National Forest.

Pendleton, 5'10", 155 lbs, has blue eyes and blonde hair. His bond is set at $5,000,000. Anyone with information is asked to call Illinois State Police at 618-542-1483 or call 911.
