DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Vestis Services, LLC, formerly known as Aramark Uniform Services, will be closing the entire facility and ceasing operations at the facility at 3718 E. Mound Road, Decatur.
City officials received an official notice on Monday from the company stating this closure may be considered an “employment loss” pursuant to the Illinois Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.
The company expects this closure to be permanent and anticipates that the facility closure will occur on or about June 5, 2024.
All 44 employees will be affected. Separations will take place on June 5, 2024, or within a 14-day period thereafter. The remaining 14 employees are not represented by a union.
