MAHOMET, Ill. (WAND) - A woman was left critically injured after being hit by a vehicle in Mahomet.Â
It happened Sunday just before 9 p.m. in the area of County Road 125 E just south of Rt. 150.
A 49-year-old woman who lives in the area was walking her dog when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a woman from Mansfield, the Champaign County Sheriff's Office said.Â
The victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries but is suspected to survive.
