Alyssa co-anchors WAND News at 5, 6 and 10 alongside Sean Streaty.

Alyssa joins the WAND Team in 2021. She comes to central Illinois after working on the border in El Paso, Texas. There, she reported and anchored coverage of the coronavirus pandemic, immigration issues and the tragic Aug. 3  Walmart shooting. Before moving to Texas, Alyssa spent time working in Charleston, West Virginia and Gulfport, Mississippi. She is a proud Syracuse graduate from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Alyssa is excited to be raising her daughter Penelope and son Theodore in central Illinois with her husband Nick. When she isn't working she loves to cook, spend time with her baby and husband, and explore Decatur.
