Carlee Bronkema joined the WAND team in June 2022 as the Springfield Bureau Reporter. She is excited to call Central Illinois home and get to know the Capital City!

Carlee grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and attended college in Boston. She graduated from Emerson College with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in history. While in college, she was a food show host, an entertainment correspondent, an anchor, and an executive producer of her school’s politics show.

When she isn’t at work, you can find Carlee tracking down the best restaurants, spending time outside, and petting every dog she sees. Carlee also loves spending time with her family, who frequently drive down from Michigan.
