(WAND) - Another Central Illinois native is making waves ... literally.

Freddy Krueger, originally from Decatur, was named a 2026 inductee to the United States Water Ski and Wake Sports Foundation Hall of Fame.

The honor will recognize Kreuger's extraordinary career and his impact on the sport of water ski jumping.

Kreuger is an eight-time world record holder, a five-time world champion and a 14-time masters champion.

According to the USA-WSWS Foundation Hall of Fame's website, Krueger holds the world ski flying record at 312 feet.
