CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Illinois seeks to extend its three-game winning streak at home against Rutgers Thursday night.Â
The Fighting Illini defeated Penn State 73-65 at The Palestra in Philadelphia on Saturday. Guard Kylan Boswell led the way in scoring with 18 points, followed by Keaton Wagler's 16. Rutgers is 8-7 on the season, with a 1-3 record in Big Ten play.Â
Illinois is 13-5 all-time against the Scarlet Knights, including an 8-0 mark in Champaign, according to Illinois Athletics.Â
