CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Following their 34-32 win over #21 USC Saturday afternoon, the Big Ten announced Illinois quarterback Luke Altmyer as the conference's Offensive Player of the Week. Kicker David Olano was also celebrated as the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week.

Altmyer totaled 359 total yards of offense in the win, accounting for 4 touchdowns (2 passing, 1 rushing, 1 receiving). He became the first Illini player since Kurt Kittner in 1999 to have a passing, rushing, and receiving score in a single game.

The senior quarterback was instrumental in setting up Olano with a 41-yard kick to win the game with only seconds remaining. Olano drilled the field goal to secure the win as time expired. He made all six of his kicks (4 XPs, 2 FGs) in the contest.
