CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- Two weeks until the first Illinois football game of the season and the Illini in their third week of fall practice.

New defensive coordinator Bobby Hauck said installing the new defense has gone well and he likes how the guys have adjusted to the 3-3-5.

He said he spent a lot of time in the spring building those relationships with his plays so now they can continue to build off that in the fall.

Hauck announced that this season he will be calling the plays from the box and not the field so he has a better view of what is going on during that game.

And in these final practices before game week they are refining the little thing to get game day ready.
