NASHVILLE, TN (WAND) -- Illinois announced over the weekend they will wear head to toe navy uniforms including a brand new navy helmet with the script writing on it.
Athletic Director Josh Whitman said they will remain being known for the orange helmet it's always fun to have something new.
And when asking players what they thought, you could say they didn't believe they were real.
The Music City Bowl game kicks off Tuesday Dec. 30 at 4:30 p.m. at Nissan Stadium.
