CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- Redshirt Junior Guard Ty Rodgers is out indefinitely with a knee injury. 

Head Coach Brad Underwood announced Monday Rodgers injured his knee in a pick up game back in Michigan last week and will need surgery. 

Rodgers was set to return to the team after redshirting in the 2024-25 season. In his first two years with the Illini Rodgers played in 71 games and averaged 4.8 points per game, recorded 22 blocks and 39 steals.
