Sacred Heart-Griffin, Rochester ready for post-Leonard Bowl matchup

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Obviously, this year's matchup between SHG and Rochester football will not be coined the Leonard Bowl.

After a long storied career, SHG coaching legend Ken Leonard decided to hang it up last year.

That means there's no more father versus son. No Derek versus Ken. Instead it'll be Derek versus John. John Allison is now the head coach over at Sacred Heart-Griffin. Allison told Wand Sports that it feels a little weird knowing the last Leonard Bowl has come and gone.
