DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Wednesday! Winds are much calmer, and temperatures are much warmer today. Sunny skies should hang around for the morning before cloudy skies take over this afternoon and evening. Temperatures will warm up into the mid to upper 40s by the afternoon.
Rain chances will increase throughout the evening. Precipitation will fall as rain at first, but a wintry mix could develop through the evening. Snow is still possible for areas north of I-74, but totals will be very low. Some sleet could cause some slick spots for early Thursday morning.
Temperatures will warm up above freezing early on Thursday morning, so slick spots won’t last long. Mostly sunny skies will take over as temperatures warm into the upper 40s. Friday looks fantastic as temperatures warm up into the upper 50s and low 60s with plentiful sunshine.
