DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Tuesday! We have finally gotten through the bitterly cold temperatures of early February. High temperatures today will push into the low to mid-50s! The last time the temperatures were above 50 in Central Illinois was all the way back on January 13th.Â
Sunny skies will hang around through Wednesday, but winds out of the north will push high temperatures down into the 40s for Wednesday afternoon. The seasonably warm stretch will continue through the rest of the week, but chances for some scattered showers and even a few snowflakes are possible on Thursday. Very little, if any, accumulation is expected with this passing system.
Dry and mild conditions return for Friday and most of the day Saturday. Rain chances will return for Saturday night and linger into Sunday morning. This should be just rain and could stay further south, but we will track these showers closely over the next few days.
