Abnormally warm and sunny start to week

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Abnormally warm temperatures continue this afternoon. High pressure has allowed for a dry and sunny pattern to set up, and as a result we’ll be warming up to the low 90s this afternoon. 

Dewpoints stay low, and winds may be breezy at times, so the heat may feel a little bit more comfortable than the typical muggy, midsummer heat. 

Tonight, we’ll dip back into the low 60s and upper 50s underneath clear skies.

High pressure dominates the forecast throughout this week and into the next, leaving us with little to no rain chances and continued above-average temperatures into the second week of October.
