DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - A very happy Tuesday! Temperatures will continue to stay well above average over the next few days. We can expect mostly cloudy skies today, with highs in the mid-50s expected for the afternoon. Clouds will hang around overnight, but temperatures will drop quickly into the 30s.
Temperatures will bounce back nicely on Wednesday with more sunshine on tap. This will be the day to get outside, as heavy rain is expected to move into the region by Thursday afternoon. Highs will again end up in the 50s on Wednesday and Thursday despite the rain.
We can expect to see steady to heavy rain for Thursday afternoon with a half inch to an inch of total accumulation. Most of the rain will exit by Friday morning. Friday looks mild with highs right around 50 degrees. Temperatures will be much cooler in the low 40s and 30s for the weekend.
