DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Wednesday! Another round of severe thunderstorms is possible this afternoon and evening. Scattered storms and showers are possible through the morning. These should stay below severe weather limits through most of the day. It will be another warm and windy day with gusts of 30 mph out of the southwest.
Storm chances will ramp up through the evening. The best chance for severe thunderstorms will be tonight from 5 pm to about midnight. All modes of severe weather are possible with these storms. The main concerns are hail and wind gusts. Isolated tornadoes are possible as well.Â
Storms and showers will linger through early Thursday morning, but should clear out before the morning commute. Temperatures will warm up into the upper 70s on Thursday, with humidity staying high.
Temperatures will warm up into the mid-80s by Friday afternoon. This will be the last day of Summer-like conditions for the next week. A cold front will begin to move in late Friday evening into Saturday morning. This will lead to another round of strong storms and heavy rain. Rain will exit on Saturday morning. This will finally cool temperatures off for the weekend.
