DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Do you like to sleep in on your days off, yet your neighbor has other plans that involve chainsaws, leaf blowers, lawn mowers, etc? Well, this time it may be ol' Mom Nature having you toss and turn, and it will be before sunrise. Â
To get relief, albeit minimal, from the high heat, we will have to contend with an occasional thunderstorm. Â
One of those doses of storms will come under the cover of darkness tonight. Not everyone will get wet, but it will be the largest coverage area of H2O since this past weekend. Additional storms will dance across parts of Central Illinois Friday into this weekend. Â
Unfortunately, locales where thunderstorms strike back-to-back-to-back, can have flash flooding. So, stay weather aware, stay safe and stay sweaty. Â
