Periods of showers and a few storms are in the Central Illinois forecast the next couple of days.

While rain is likely this morning and again this afternoon and on Thursday, amounts will not be as heavy as what we picked up last week and this past weekend.
Rainfall over the next seven days will be around one-quarter to one-half inch.

Highs today through Saturday will be in the 50s and 60s.
Â
Sunshine returns Friday and Saturday with a few more clouds Sunday. An isolated shower can't be ruled out Sunday, but most of us will remain dry.

Highs Sunday will warm to around 70° with 70s on Monday.
Â
By then, we'll see a few more showers and storms.
