DECATUR, Ill (WAND) - July's full moon is upon us and will be visible Thursday night!
Peak illumination will actually be around 3:46 pm, however, it will still be a pretty sight once the sun sets around 8:25 pm Thursday evening.
Every full moon has several different names which are often determined by either culture or agriculture.
July's full moon is known as the "Buck" moon.
This corresponds with antlers of male deer (bucks) typically being fully grown at this time.
Every year bucks shed and regrow their antlers with a each new set producing a more impressive set.
Thursday night's forecast calls for high humidity and mostly clear skies, leaving the perfect opportunity to capture a great photo.
