Weekend wind and more sunshine

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Saturday! Dry conditions continue today, but our next weathermaker is on the horizon.

An area of low pressure is gradually moving in for the start of the work week, but before it arrives, it will bring gusty winds this weekend. We’ll be heading into the afternoon with temperatures warming into the upper 80s and wind gusts up to 25 mph for some. We'll be windy well through Sunday with even more areas with 25 mph wind gusts.

We’ll be mostly clear tonight with a light breeze still hanging around. Lows overnight will dip into the upper 50s.

Showers will finally return to the forecast by Monday afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue between the evening and Tuesday afternoon. This rain will bring another windy day by the midweek, and it will bring much cooler conditions by the end of the work week.
