DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) -Â A cold front crosses the region from west to east overnight/early Friday morning.
Ahead of this front, additional heavy thunderstorms will develop from parts of Fayette County northeastward toward Vermilion County. Â
Given that the atmosphere has been worked over, additional severe weather is not out of the realm of possibilities, but would be the exception to the rule. The rule will be gusty winds over 40 mph. Strong gusty winds created power outages in some areas, along with some damage.Â
That wind will diminish in the wake of the front for Friday, but colder weather returns. Â
