Champaign Park District announces temporary closure of Parkland Way at Dodds Park

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND)- The Champaign Park District announces that starting next week (May 19), Parkland Way will be temporarily closed to vehicles, bicycles, and foot traffic to allow for the removal and replacement of sections of the roadway.

This project is expected to take a minimum of three weeks to complete.

Dodds Park will be open daily from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. The Park District reminds visitors that access to the Greenway Bike Trail at Parkland Way will be closed.

Anyone looking to access the Worker’s Memorial and the Olympic Tribute should enter from N. Mattis Avenue.

Those looking to access Dodds Soccer Complex, Parkland College, Disc Golf Course, both softball complexes (3-plex and 4-plex) and Eddie Albert Gardens, should enter from Perimeter Rd. (via Bradley Ave.)
