FORSYTH, Ill. (WAND) — Coziahr Harley-Davidson supported local businesses on Small Business Saturday in an effort to help shine a light on businesses in the off season.
Marketing Manager and Events Coordinator for Coziahr Harley-Davidson, Amira Fane, said the inspiration for the event came from the late great Debbie Coziahr, who died in 2024.Â
"Our owner, who's passed away, she was really big into supporting the community in whatever way that we could. So it's kind of a way for us to tie all that back together," Fane said.
Sophia Scharf, owner of Good Soup Perfumes and Marketing Manager for Buds-N-Blooms, said vendor events allow small businesses to continue to thrive, even when farmer's market season is over.
"We get so many [vendor markets] in the spring, fall, and summer. But a lot of people don't really think about winter because there's not really any outside venues that are really accessible and weather permitting," Scharf explained. "It's an amazing opportunity for not just small businesses, but to, you know, create ally-ship between small businesses as well."
Participating vendors included Small Town Sourdough, The Patch Lady, Good Soup Perfumes, Just Breathe, The Cookie Palace, Bud-N-Blooms and more.
