SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - CWLP water crews are responding to an 18-inch water main break in Springfield. 

Crews were called out for the break on the west side of the 3100 block of Chatham Rd. Southbound lanes of Chatham Rd. will be closed between Wabash ave. and Seven Pines Road. 

A few businesses  in the area will be without water during the work, CWLP said. 

Other customers served by this water main in neighborhoods around Seven Pines Rd may experience reduced water pressure. 

Drivers are reminded to be careful when going through that area as crews work to make repairs.
