DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Not only is it state fair time, but also time to choose another national mullet champion.

Daxton Randall from Decatur is back in the running this year. 

This is Randall's third year competing with his mullet that he named "D-Mullet." 

Christina Randall, the boy's mother, shared how Daxton got involved in the competition. 

"I just saw a mullet contest on Facebook and I just looked into it, and we've been doing it ever since, the last three years in a row," she said.  

Daxton said that if he wins the contest, he is going to buy a swingset.
