DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - Demolition of the historic Bresee Tower is now complete.
Some roads had to be closed and detours posted to help drivers navigate around the demolition site of the 13-story building.
Three years ago, the Danville City Council set aside $4-million to tear down the tower and other buildings in the downtown area deemed unsafe.
Demolition of the tower began in April, and Main Street is set to reopen to traffic Thursday morning.
