DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Millikin University is welcoming the community to gaze upon the night sky during its Public Observation Nights.Â
The free event will take place from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays through May 19 at the Requarth Observatory inside the Leighty-Tabor Science Center.
According to the University, attendees will engage in hands-on learning led by students and faculty from the School of Chemistry and Physics.Â
They will also observe celestial objects through the observatory's telescope, offering views of planets, star clusters and more, weather permitting.Â
The event is free and open to the public.Â
