DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A chef at the Country Club of Decatur has created an elaborate gingerbread display — made to represent the town of Who-ville.
It was on display on the Grille Lounge in the Country Club of Decatur.
Chef Gary Prusa says this was the most challenging display he's ever attempted.
The planning and creation of the Grinch's mountain lair, for example, required a month's worth of work.
Prusa says this isn't the first time the country club has put together a display like this.
"This year we have Whoville. We've done Santa's Workshop, we've done a farm theme with a barn and farmhouse, so each year we try to come up with something a little bit different that we think the families will enjoy."
Nearly every element of the display is meticulously crafted from homemade gingerbread.
Country Club officials say they're grateful for Chef Prusa for sharing his masterpiece with them.
