Power boats make their way into Lake Decatur for Hardy's Race for the Lake 2024. 

DECATUR, Ill. — Hardy's Race for the Lake will host Nationals next year. 

The boat racing competition will host Nationals June 6-7 in 2026 at Nelson Park.  

This year's event was held June 7 and 8. Last year was the first time the boat races were back at Lake Decatur after more than two decades.

The American Power Boat Association recognized "Hardy's Highway: Race for the Lake" as race site of the year. The Decatur boat race beat out other competitors throughout the association for the 2024 honor from the APBA.
