DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The American Power Boat Association has recognized "Hardy's Highway: Race for the Lake" as race site of the year.

The Decatur boat race beat out other competitors throughout the association for the 2024 honor from the APBA.
In a Facebook post, Hardy's Highway said, “The achievement would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our amazing team and all those who supported the event."
The group also thanked the volunteers and group who made the race happen including the Warren Daniel Hardy Charitable Fund.
The race is set to return to Lake Decatur June 7-8.Â
