IDPH to offer public health information, services to fairgoers

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - With the Illinois State Fair beginning this week, the Illinois Department of Public Health will offer public health information and services to attendees.

The IDPH's main tent will be open during the duration of the fair, Aug. 7-17, on the east side of the Annex Building, across from the Lincoln Stage.

According to an Aug. 6 press release from the organization, different IDPH programs will be highlighted each day of the fair.

The IDPH will have a second location at the fair, which will be inside the Illinois Department of Natural Resources' Fisheries Tent at Conservation World.

IDPH will also have several giveaways throughout the fair, while supplies last, including naloxone, COVID-19 test kits, first aid cases, hand sanitizer, cooling bags, pillboxes and more.
