July Step Up Vermilion County meeting planned for Friday

DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - The July Step Up Vermilion County community meeting is set for Friday.

Step Up Vermilion County works to bring the community together to discuss the county's current challenges.

Everyone in the community is invited to attend the meeting at 8 a.m. on Friday, July 17. The event is held at Second Church of Christ, 3350 E. Voorhees, in Danville.

Step Up Vermilion County said this month’s meeting will include an important announcement about the opening of a new community center and information about how Vermilion County can benefit from the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois.

There will also be discussion sessions on Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health and Family & Parenting. The Community Foundation of East Central Illinois will also award a $1,000 grant to a local non-profit organization in attendance. The meeting ends at 10 a.m.
