DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Bringing the stars inside to inspire interest in astronomy.
The Macon County Conservation District has expanded its lineup with its new StarLab Portable Planetarium, due in part to a grant from Heart of Illinois Community Foundation and other funding from the Macon County Conservation Foundation.
MCCD shared that it can fit 30 to 40 people inside, and audiences will experience a variety of topics such as stars, planets, constellations, the moon, the solar system and more.
Pricing starts at $200, and includes set-up, takedown, two trained staff members and a presentation.
Those interested in bringing this experience to their school or group can call 217-423-7708.
