MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - Water samples collected in Mattoon continue to register well after the City's second "Do Not Drink" order was lifted Friday. 

The City of Mattoon posted on Facebook July 21 that the sample collected Monday afternoon showed non-detectable levels of harmful algal bloom neurological toxins in the water at 0.14 ppb.

Levels are up slightly from the 0.10 ppb collected July 18. Three straight testing days under the EPA's advisory levels of .30 ppb contributed to the order being lifted last week. 

The next sample date, as recommended by the IEPA, will be Thursday. Further updates will be provided by the City after results are collected.
