MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - The City of Mattoon has released a report outlining its response and recovery efforts related to the July algal bloom events.
Mattoon had two "Do Not Drink" orders issued due to the presence of a harmful algal bloom neurotoxin in the City's primary water source.
The report outlines the full timeline of events, water distribution, water delivery, a summary of actions taken, lessons learned, and next steps and recommendations, which will be added at a later time.
