DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — One of the co-founders of K's Merchandise and a Decatur mainstay has died at 92.

Ray Eldridge died Saturday at Lincolnshire Place in Decatur. Born in Stratford, Oklahoma, Eldridge co-founded K's Merchandise with his brother Kay in 1957. The chain once boasted locations in states across the Midwest. He also owned Ray Eldridge Jewelry and Ray Eldridge Diamond Importers.

Eldridge is survived by his wife, Una Mae of Decatur. According to his obituary, he was "proud of being married almost 67 years."
