Local First Springfield hosting shred day

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The Animal Protective League (APL) will host its Annual Shred Day for those interested in getting rid of those pesky old documents cluttering their homes.  

Shred Day will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at the APL shelter in Springfield. 

Affordable Shred will be on hand to securely shred personal papers while raising money for APL's programs. 

In return, the APL is asking for a monetary donation or a donation of cat or dog food. 

All proceeds and donations from the event will benefit dogs and cats cared for by APL.
