DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Santa Shuffle is back, taking over streets in Decatur on Saturday Dec. 7, at 3:30 p.m., right before the Christmas Parade.
Instead of a race t-shirt, participants get a a full Santa suit.
Participants are asked to bring an unwrapped Christmas gift or a monetary donation for DOVE INC. Care and Share program.
And there is still time to sign up, but there are limited spots. Only 175 people can participate. To sign up for $30, click here.
The fun 1.4 mile run leads into the Decatur Christmas Parade this year, with a route that loops back from Water Street back to Decatur Brew Works.
Following the run, there will be a post-run party at Decatur Brew Works with pulled pork, chicken, potato casserole, mac n cheese from Notorious P.I.G., pizza from Papa Murphy's, and treats from Coffee Connection.
If you participate, you will be entered into a Secret Santa drawing.
There will also be raffle tickets with packages from Fleet Feet, Decatur Brew Works, Decatur Coffee Connection, Papa Murphy's Pizza, and a pair of shoes from Brooks Running.
