DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A summer program providing free meals for kids across Decatur will return for its 43rd year in June.
The Decatur Park District and Illinois State Board of Education will partner to provide free meals at parks and schools across Decatur as part of the Summer Food Service Program.
Teams of park leaders in yellow hats will be in 9 neighborhood parks during lunch hours each weekday playing games and leading educational activities.
Free meals will be available Monday-Friday from June 1 to July 31 for children 18 and under. See the photo below for a list of locations and hours.
