No injuries reported after house fire in Decatur

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Decatur fire crews handled a house fire that happened Thursday morning.

The Decatur Fire Department said it responded to a reported house fire just after 11:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of E. Wood Street.

That is down from Nelson Park and Splash Cove.

DFD stated that it arrived to find smoke coming from the home, and the fire was put out shortly after firefighters searched for people inside.

The American Red Cross is helping those inside the home.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
