MT. ZION, Ill. (WAND) - Police are investigating after the Mt. Zion Convention Center was vandalized.Â
On July 3 at around 10:30 p.m., Mt. Zion police said someone used an explosive or firecracker to damage the roof and gutter system on the east side of the building. Right after the explosion a vehicle was seen speeding through the parking lot and leaving using the south exit.
The repair cost are expected to exceed $5,000.
