URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - Remember to be safe and avoid driving under the influence while partying your way into 2026.
Tatman's Towing in Urbana is helping the community with a free New Year's towing service, an offer valid until 3 a.m. for the Champaign, Urbana and Savoy city limits.
The company has offered impaired drivers who don't want to drive home a free tow for the last 45 years.
Owner Jim Hampton stated the service is a better alternative than taking a risk on the road.
"We're not asking people to go out and drink, we're asking people to have an option to be able to get home safely. What better way of having someone get their car and them safe home so they don't hurt anybody else," Hampton said.
