Trick-or-Treat 2025: Local times and safety tips

(WAND) - Halloween is nearly here! WAND has reached out to community officials across central Illinois to confirm trick-or-treat times.

As a reminder, it is generally good practice to skip houses with porch lights that have been turned off.

Arcola: The City of Arcola will have trick-or-treating hours from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

Assumption: The City of Assumption will hold trick-or-treating from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 30 & 31.

Auburn: Trick-or-treat hours will be from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 30 & 31 with porch lights on only.

Blue Mound: The Village of Blue Mound will observe trick-or-treating hours from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 30 & 31.

Champaign: Champaign County hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31.

Charleston: Charleston will observe trick-or-treat hours from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. Residents must turn on porch lights to welcome trick-or-treaters.

Clinton: The City of Clinton will observe trick-or-treating hours from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

Danville: Danville will have trick-or-treating from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

Effingham: Trick-or-treat hours in Effingham will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. Children and families must only visit homes with porch lights on.

Illiopolis: Illiopolis will have trick-or-treating from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 30 & 31.

Lincoln: The City of Lincoln will have trick-or-treat hours from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 31.

Maroa: Maroa's trick-or-treat hours will be from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 31. There will also be a City Hall Trick-or-Treat Night from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, or until the candy runs out.

Mattoon: Mattoon will have citywide trick-or-treating hours from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

Mt. Pulaski: Mt. Pulaski will have trick-or-treating from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 31.

Mt. Zion: The Village of Mt. Zion has recognized trick-or-treat hours from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

Oreana: The Village of Oreana will have trick-or-treating from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 31. Children must be accompanied by an adult and only go to houses with a porch light on. The Argenta-Oreana Fire Department will also host a Trick or Treat Open House from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 31 at Station 1 in Oreana.

Pana: Trick-or-treating hours for all the little ghouls and superheroes will be from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 30 and 31.

Springfield: The City of Springfield will have trick-or-treating hours from 4:30-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

Taylorville: Taylorville will observe trick-or-treating hours from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 30 & 31.

Tuscola: The City of Tuscola will have its trick-or-treating hours from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

Urbana: City of Urbana hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31.
