MONTICELLO, Ill. (WAND) - Willow Tree Missions in Monticello is marking Domestic Violence Awareness Month with the grand opening of the Christmas Market, their seasonal Christmas store.Â
The market is located at 109 S. State Street. It opened October 1 and will stay open through December 23 or until all inventory is gone.Â
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday with occasional Sunday hours. Â
"Each year we serve over 75 families in Piatt County so as you can see the need is great for education about domestic abuse in our area. The profits from our Christmas Market and other two resale shops allow us to provide services for our clients such as assistance with obtaining orders of protection, escape, and safety planning and emergency shelter among other assistance," said Andrea Kocher, Director of Services for Willow Tree Missions.Â
