SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Police Department says one person has been arrested in connection with multiple robberies that happened in September 2016.
Springfield police say David Denotto, 38, was arrested by members of the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force on November 18. Denotto is facing a charge of robbery, two counts of burglary, and three counts of theft in connection with three robberies that happened at the Walgreens location in the 3400 block of Freedom Drive in Springfield.
Springfield Police Detectives say Denotto was interviewed, and allegedly confessed to being involved in the three robberies. Denotto was taken to the Sangamon County Jail.
The investigation into the robberies is ongoing. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
