DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A man is in the hospital after a shooting on Decatur's northeast side Thursday afternoon.

Decatur police told WAND News that officers were responding to a report of shots fired in the area around 2:45 p.m. 

A portion of North Woodford Street and East Walnut streets was blocked off while officers investigated.

Police have taped off a perimeter around a residence on Walnut Street and a vehicle parked in front of home. 

No arrests have been made. The investigation is still ongoing.
