SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A 14-year-old boy who died after being hit by a vehicle while bike riding in Springfield on Monday has been identified. 

Springfield police said the crash happened just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of East Cook St. and Eastdale Avenue. 

The boy, identified by the Sangamon County Coroner as Quaneal Leone of Springfield, was pronounced dead at 6:45 p.m. shortly after arriving at the hospital. 

The coroner said that Leone died from multiple blunt force injuries. 

No arrests have been made, and the accident is still under investigation.
