VERMILION COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - Two people were killed in a crash in Vermilion County Monday morning.Â
The Vermilion County Sheriff's Department is investigating the crash that happened at the intersection of Bowman Ave. and Poland Rd. at 8:24 a.m.Â
Deputies said a vehicle was going north on Bowman Ave. when another vehicle going eastbound on Poland Rd. failed to yield and went into the intersection in front of the northbound car.Â
The northbound vehicle hit the eastbound vehicle, forcing both into the ditch.Â
Two people were in the northbound vehicle. One person was in the eastbound vehicle.Â
The person from the eastbound vehicle and one person from the northbound vehicle were both pronounced dead.Â
The second person in the northbound vehicle was taken to the hospital.Â
