SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — A Springfield man is dead after being hit by a vehicle on Friday.
According to the Sangamon County Coroner, 55-year-old Walter Arnold was taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in the 1700 block of South Dirksen Parkway.
The coroner confirmed Arnold died in the hospital around 7 a.m. Saturday. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday and the Springfield Police Department is still investigating.
